Seaside Table Setting

Last week when my family was in town visiting, I decided to break out the fabulous beach decor that my mom gave me last summer for my birthday. Moondoggie and I have been out of town so much in the past year that we haven't had many opportunities to entertain and to use the great pieces she gave me. Everything came together beautifully, and I was able to create a coastal escape in my dining room even though we are located hours away from the coast. Unfortunately, some of the items shown are no longer available, but I've listed links to those items that you can still find in stores or online (or links to similar alternatives).

Seashell tablecloth from Williams Sonoma (no longer available); Assorted seashells from Pottery Barn (no longer available, but you can find similar seashells at World Market)

Linen Hemstitch Napkins in Natural from Pottery Barn

Artesia Chargers from Crate & Barrel

Wishing I was here...

Any guesses as to where this might be?

Pre-Ceremony

One of the things we loved most about The Ribault Club (well, after the beautiful grounds, the proximity to the water and the historic feel) was the circular drive in front of the Club. Since we held both our ceremony and reception at the same location, we wanted to do something a little special to introduce our guests to The Ribault Club.

We asked that our guests arrive a few minutes early to the ceremony, and they were greeted in front of the Club with music provided by the The Magnolia String Quartet and lemonade served in mason jars. Asking that our guests arrive early gave them time before the ceremony to greet each other and to sign our photo guest book that we had placed on a table adjacent to the lemonade table. A few minutes before the ceremony began, our guests were escorted to the beautiful ceremony site located in back of the Club towards the water.
